The project's objectives included developing a user-centric UX/UI that facilitates easy navigation and access to TAF Studio's range of fonts and custom design services, ensuring the design reflects TAF Studio’s identity and their philosophy of making emotions readable through typography, and creating a seamless and efficient software backend to support various functionalities, including font browsing, purchasing, and licensing.
Design Process
Wireframing and Prototyping: Created low-fidelity wireframes for basic structure and high-fidelity interactive prototypes with Figma to visualize user journey and interactions.
UI Design:Developed a clean, modern, and fully responsive interface focused on typography, incorporating TAF Studio’s signature style for clarity and emotional depth.
User Testing: Conducted multiple user testing rounds with target demographic, collecting feedback to iteratively enhance usability and satisfaction.
Development Process
A responsive and fast-loading frontend was developed using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Animations and transitions were implemented to enhance user interaction. A robust backend was created using Node.js, Express, and WordPress to manage user data, font purchases, and licensing. A secure payment gateway was integrated to ensure smooth and secure transactions.
The font showcase provides detailed previews of each font with various weights and sizes. Users can interactively test fonts to see how they appear with custom text. Clear and concise license information is available, along with an easy-to-use selector for choosing the right license. Custom font projects are showcased with case studies and client references, demonstrating the potential of tailored font solutions. Finally, user account management allows users to track font purchases and manage licensed fonts, ensuring a user-friendly experience.
